Isla Pandan or Pandan Island lies south of Snake Island and is managed privately. This mini-Boracay has various accommodations in different price ranges to suit all travelers. As you guess it, Pandan Island got his name from the local “Pandan” trees covering the island. The crystal-clear turquoise water entices beach lovers to spend more time for the different activities the island presents: kayaking, water paddling, stand-up paddling, playing beach volleyball and Frisbee, massage by the beach, etc. Safety is checked and monitored by two lifeguard stations in the swimming areas. Floating rafts will lull you to sleep as it dances with the waves and wind. Coral reefs formation is scarce in this island but undersea scene will be all worthwhile seeing schools after schools of fish swims near you. The seabed in this part is covered thickly with bright green and reddish sea grasses. You can get a henna tattoo from the island’s tattoo artists before leaving to have a bit of this paradise with you.
Our advise is to book your accommodation in advance in peak summer seasons as accommodations comes full in this time of the year. Cheap big umbrellas or parasols with table and chairs could be rented out, too. Food is not a question since the island is the most developed and most crowded place in Honda Bay’s island tours. Buy fresh seafood from fish stalls operated by the native islanders. You can even ask these sellers to choose the best fish and cooked it hot for you. Grilled lobsters, squids and sea urchins are a must-try. You can grab drinks from the random bars along the beach when thirst hits you. Always try the local delicacy for desserts – it will never leave you dissatisfied. Coconuts are sold reasonably by vendors roaming all over and even give extra service of free delivery within Pandan Island.
