Tapiutan Island is the most remote island in the Bacuit Archipelago of El Nido, located in the South-Chinese Sea parallel with Matinloc Island. The pass between the two isles is narrow and etched with towering cliffs, which gives people passing through it a special and mysterious feeling. It faces the open sea and smaller boats have trouble reaching it. It is part of the tour C El Nido island hopping tour.
This is where the tourists taking Tour C will have their lunch on the beach. The usual local specialties, rice, grilled fish, fruits and vegetables are available for consumption.
There are several beaches on the western side of the island facing the wide open sea. Further out of the bay, Tapiutan’s rich marine life provides for excellent scuba diving and snorkeling.
Tapiutan Island is also home to the one of the best beaches in the entire El Nido – Star Beach. The beach is a twin beach, meaning one part is pristine white sand for swimming and sunbathing and other is rich in corals and perfect for scuba diving and snorkeling. The corals are colorful and beautiful and fish diverse. The most interesting are angel fish, moorish idol, sea urchins and the species this beach owes its name to – the majestic blue starfish.
