Cadlao Island is the biggest island in El Nido, located just north-west off El Nido town and is solely included in Tour D. Cadlao is a beautiful island having the highest peak in El Nido, at 609 meters above sea level. Its natural beauty encompasses beaches, lush forests and hidden lagoons and coves.
Some of the famous beaches on Cadlao island are Bucal Beach, Sabang Beach, Paradise Beach, and Nat-nat. Compared to other islands in El Nido, beaches on Cadlao have a more sloping decent into the sea, for which they are perfect for both swimmers and non-swimmers, and also for snorkeling. Marine life around Cadlao island is rich and diverse, especially near its famous beaches beaches, which makes for some excellent snorkeling and diving experience. Great way to explore the island for the more adventurous is to just rent a kayak and take a ride around the island, visiting some of its beaches and coves. These beaches are perfect to swimming, sunbathing and enjoying the sunset. Paradise beach, as the name suggests, is an example of a tropical paradise, lined with coconut trees, with fine white sand, clear waters and amazing sunsets. Also a nice place to have a picnic. Cadlao cove faces the neighboring Helicopter Island, and harbors emerald green waters for snorkeling and swimming.
Deeper into the island, lush forest rules strong, just like in an Indiana Jones movie. Only thing you need is a machete to clear the bushes and growth, but even without it there are paths leading through the trees and if you search hard enough you can find some of its hidden lagoons, like the Makaamo lagoon, an isolated and beautiful spot. Surrounded by tall and jagged limestone rocks, it is a great place to take a bath in the lagoon waters, and if you can, visit in the afternoon when many birds come to lagoon to feed, for a surreal nature feel.
