Las Cabanas beach lies beside Marimegmeg beach. It is a quiet, relaxing white beach perfect for views of the majestic bay and its islands. It is a nice place to stay while watching the sunset. Even if there are many tourists, you can still have a personal space. The beach is large enough for everyone. The beach offers calm water that is also good for swimming but watch out for the big jellyfish, once it touches your skin it becomes itchy. It is definitely the place to come if you want to enjoy a tropical beach around El Nido.
How to get there
When you take a tricycle in El Nido town you can reach Las Cabanas beach in 20-25 minutes. It’s 15 minutes driving and 5 to 10 minutes walking to get there. The tricycle ride will costs you 150 pesos.
What to do
The resorts here are offering kayaking to explore the bay.
Island hop. You can cross to an island when it is low tide and snorkel for hours
It is a right spot for relaxing – lounging on the sand and staying under the heat of the sun to make your skin a little tan.
It is a great place to chill for few hours for there are palm trees and hammocks to stay and wait for the beautiful sunset.
Beach volleyball. Sometimes there is a beach volleyball game that you could catch up.
Float on the sea and listen to the music of the resorts. The music is not too loud so you can still enjoy the silence of nature.
Zip line. You can try a zip line from an island to the beach. You are, literally, flying over the crystal clear water of Las Cabanas.
Take the taste of fresh grilled huge fish with herbs and tomatoes in one of the restaurants there. It is truly scrumptious.
