Malaroyroy Island is located on the northern tip of Bulalacao Island near Banana Island. It is now owned by Two Seasons Island Resorts & Spa, and is one of the most luxurious spots in Coron.
If you want to be pampered and enjoy the luxury this is the place to be. The resorts feature beachfront bungalows and mountaintop villas, each room with its own characteristic, according to your preference. Beachfront rooms offer great view and sea breeze, since you are quite literally on the beach. You get on the beach straight out of the room, where your neighbors may be sea turtles, roaming in the sand. You can also choose the remote bungalow, on the small Bulog Uno isle, just hundred meters from the main resort that is accessible only via kayak or during low tide.
Mountaintop villas offer more seclusion among the trees on the hills, and the view from higher ground is great. If you don’t want to take the short stroll uphill, there are golf carts ready take you there, another sign of high-level luxury.
The service of the staff is top notch. They are always close by and ready to tend to your every need. Food is delicious and menu to choose from is quite diverse. Their signature dish is the beer and sake lobster bisque, which is, needless to say – de-licious. If you want to get spoiled, you can even request the chef to make you a special dish.
If you get tired of all the luxury, you might want to explore some natural wonders and activities. On the other side of the hill is a large freshwater lake, surrounded by tall steep cliffs of grey rock. The lake is perfect for swimming and snorkeling and just enjoying the scenery. Lots of cool little thin fish accompany you near the shores. There is also a lagoon nearby, where the salt water meets fresh water and you can literally swim through the thermocline. It’s a neat experience that makes the water look as if it is oily. To get to this lagoon you need to swim through a short two meter tunnel – not for the faint of heart!
