Malaroyroy Beach is found on a separate island from the main island of Coron, called Malaroyroy island. It has a very long, but narrow sandbar with coconut trees and other foliage, and a few cottages. A little ways from that, there is another small sandbar with dense foliage. This is not a destination that gets quite as crowded as the other beaches because it is a much longer stretch and it is further away, so you will find yourself basking in the the beautiful, crystal clear waters in solitude. Should you want to spend the night, there is a nearby resort which also offers several more activities.
How to Get There
Because this is on a separate island, one has to take a boat to get there, but it can take about an hour and thirty minutes.
What to See and Do
This is a change of scenery compared to the main island of Coron, so take advantage of the possible activities:
Swim There is a very wide area that you can swim in, because this beach is much larger since it is on a different island. The white sand extends quite far before it becomes dotted and filled with corals, so there is much more space to swim in without having to run into corals and rocks.
See turtles and giant clams The resort on the island is a turtle and giant clam sanctuary. If you were to snorkel and dive in the area, with permission of the resort, you would be able to see them as well as the rest of the very diverse marine life in the area.
Explore This beach is much wider than the others, which allows for more exploration. You can walk across the whole beach and even go to the sandbar that is slightly separated from the rest of the beach. You can also climb up on the stone hill for a beautiful view of the island and the waters.
