A small, isolated yet dazzling beach, Banol Beach is one of the most popular beaches to visit in Coron. It boasts fine, powdery white sand and crystal clear waters, which give an exquisite view of the beautiful and colorful marine life in the water. The beach is located at the bottom of a very tall limestone cliffside. Be warned that visitors say there is no decent bathroom on this beach, so if you need to do your business, make sure you do it before you get there!
How to Get There
As Banol Beach is a very short stretch of beach and located by the cliff, the only way to get there is by boat. This is a common destination on island hopping tours of Coron, but if you are visiting it on your own, you may simply rent a boat to get you there.
What to See and Do
Being the short stretch of beach that it is, the best things to do on Banol Beach would be:
Rent a cottage and relax There are 3 to 5 cottages on the beach that can be rented from the locals. When you have your cottage, settle down for a while and relax. You could bring out some food and snacks, or just sit and read a good book.
Go snorkeling The marine life and corals are so pristine and untouched that you may already see small schools of fish swimming near the shore. If you enjoy snorkeling, be sure to go out there and experience the beauty of the biodiverse waters, and perhaps see some clown fish!
Have a beach picnic The most popular activity done at this beach is picnics or barbecues. This site is usually the lunch spot for island hopping tours, and it is really a dazzling site to enjoy a beach picnic. Make sure to bring everything you need if you are preparing your own food.
